i3 Group CEO Elfed Thomas receives second award nomination this
year
Fibre optic specialist, i3 Group has today announced that CEO,
Elfed Thomas has been selected as a finalist for the Institute of
Directors (IoD) North West Director award.
The IoD awards, now entering their seventh year, are an
important part of the North West business calendar as they
recognise those people that are bringing prosperity to the
region.
Elfed Thomas, CEO, i3 Group said: "It is the culmination of the
hard work of the i3 Group team that has resulted in my nomination
for this prestigious award. We have worked hard to grow our
business, playing our part in developing new technologies to
deliver superfast fibre optic broadband networks for the UK and
extending this expertise overseas."
i3 Group is a private UK company which was founded in 2002 by
Elfed Thomas. The Group has patented the use of ready-made ducts
including the sewer system and developed further patented
technologies so that it can build commercially viable, low cost
fibre to the home or premise networks for residents, businesses and
public sector organisations.
This is the second award nomination that Elfed Thomas has
received this year. He was the regional winner of the Ernst
& Young Entrepreneur Of The Year awards which were
announced in June and will now take his place at the overall finals
to be held in London on 18th October.
The IoD awards ceremony will take place at the Hilton Hotel,
Deansgate Manchester on 7th October. The winner from
this regional event will go forward to a UK awards ceremony held
later in the year.
